FAQ

In a solar rooftop system, the solar panels are installed on the roof of any residential, commercial, institutional and industrial buildings. This can be of two types (i) Solar Rooftop System with storage facility using battery, and (ii) Grid Connected Solar Rooftop System.

Such rooftop system has battery as storage facility. The solar electricity is stored in the battery and can be utilized during night also when the sun is not available.

In grid connected rooftop or small SPV system, the DC power generated from SPV panel is converted to AC power using power conditioning unit and is fed to the grid either of 33 kV/11 kV three phase lines or of 440/220 Volt three/single phase line depending on the capacity of the system installed at institution/commercial establishment or residential complex and the regulatory framework specified for respective States. These systems generate power during the day time which is utilized fully by powering captive loads and feed excess power to the grid as long as grid is available. In case, where solar power is not sufficient due to cloud cover etc., the captive loads are served by drawing power from the grid.

About 10sq.m/ 100 sq. ft. area is required to set up 1 kWp grid connected rooftop solar system.

• Decrease electricity bills • Improve self consumption • Increase energy independence • Green energy

Not necessarily. we evaluate your load and calculate financial feasibility of a solar project before offering you a solution. we sell systems at competitive prices and also we offer customized solutions to help you reduce your electricity bills and to achieve your renewable goals.

It depends on your load requirement and the solution offered. Write to us and share your electricity bill with us and we will offer you a best solution which will help you to save on electricity bills in turn saves your money.

With grid connected system the energy generated by the system will be exported to the grid and will roll over as a credit toward the next month’s bill.

Depending upon the net metering laws and utility provider in your state, excess energy may roll over as credit toward the next month’s bill. At the end of each financial year utility provider may purchase unadjusted net credited electricity units at its average cost of power purchase as approved by the commission for that year.

On rainy or cloudy days solar power generation may go down upto 25%. We also offer battery backed solar power systems that help in storing energy when solar plant is not operational in rainy days. A hybrid solution enables you to use grid electricity when solar plant is not operational during rainy or cloudy days.
